The History: The celery drink owes its popularity to Anthony William, author of “Medical Medium” “Life-Changing Foods” “Thyroid Healing, and Liver Rescue” he first book was published back in 2016 and over the past 2+ years celery juice has gained huge popularity. Since then Instagram has taken off with this nutrition trend and if you look and see #celeryjuice.
The Plan: Drink 16 oz of celery juice (one large head of celery juiced) each morning on an empty stomach. Wait 15-30 min before eating/drinking anything else. Always buy organic celery and wash thoroughly before juicing.
The Prep: First you need the right equipment, our outdated juicer needed an upgrade. We went with the Breville Juicer. It’s on sale right now for $179, it’s easy to clean and much faster than other juicers. If you don’t have a juicer you can still juice with a high speed blender and nut-milk bag. Then we headed to Trader Joe’s for ample amounts of celery.
The Results: Our biggest change was an increase in energy! This alone is worth the commitment (think being able to get up for that 6am CorePower Yoga class!). Secondly we saw improved digestion and debloat. And lastly glowing skin, yes honestly clearer skin from this juice. We were skeptical yes with so much hype, how could celery be this magical? Well we are sold and will keep celery juice in our morning routine.
